Christmas Time...

Mistletoe and wine! Children singing Christian rhymes. With logs on the fire, and gifts on the tree. A time to rejoice in the good that we see!

This song is such a beautiful song, and definitely one of my favourites. So I decided it was a great way to open my blog post for today. For any of you who don't know, it's called Mistletoe & Wine by Cliff Richards.

Anyway, I've been getting a few photo's today, I got a few in the last few weeks too, but I'll upload some of them another time, for now, I'm going to upload only today's photo's... With one exception..:

Me and My Nephew
I went to the park with Cody last week and we had a right blast. I paused him mid swing in order to get this photo. He absolutely adores the swings!

Now, onto what this blog is about. Christmas! Our house is looking very Christmas-y now that the tree and decorations are up. So I thought I'd share a couple of photo's I managed to get today, that I quite liked.

Christmas Tree
Here's a lovely shot of our Christmas tree, with dad in the background putting some tinsel up! Haha.

The star we have on the top of the tree. Dad decided to spruce it up by adding some of the lights into it, and it makes it look gorgeous!

Snow Flake
Mum has some gorgeous ornaments for the tree, so I got a shot of some of them. This is one of her snowflakes, that looks beautiful with the lights glistening off of it.. But then, all the ones I photographed do with the lights.

Deer
Here's a crystal reindeer we have, with the lights glistening against it.

Angel
Then a crystal angel glistening with the lights against it. Really does make it look holy!

Magical Stairs
The stairs are like a disco! It's good fun going up them in the evening.

Look At Me Auntie Sarah!
And of course I had to get a cheeky one of Cody. He's wearing dad's head light, and was running around happily with it.

Also, I want to just add a quick message to all the children and staff that died in the shooting in Connecticut. It's such a tragic story, and my heart goes out to all the families that have lost someone because of it. R.I.P. To all those beautiful children and staff.

  1. Saz the first shot of you and Cody is wonderful, it's such a fun shot.

Your house really is Christmasy, what a novel idea to run lights on the stairs. The question is though has anyone ever tripped on them or are they somehow fastened down?

Lovely shots of the ornaments and I love the star!

Have a wonderful week Saz, I'm not sure how often I'm going to be by with Austin in the hospital I try to make it down every second day and I'm still working on my Christmas things I'd like to get done ASAP, I also have a photo shoot tomorrow so I'd best get to bed!

    Cheers.

    1. Thank you Darlin!

The lights on the stairs have been fastened down so as to prevent any accidents. (: They are right at the wall of the step (if that makes sense?) so we aren't likely to actually stand on them.

All my love and thoughts are with you and Austin, I hope he improves soon! He's a very strong boy and I'm sure he'll pull through. (:

  2. Thank you Saz, I sure pray that he's going to pull through this and have a full recovery. He's on the heart transplant list, but with the stroke this could be a setback if they have one for him in this next few days. Yesterday the specialists were talking of going ahead with the transplant should a heart come in... this is all so stressful, heartbreaking and there's nothing I can do to help Austin. I only wish there was more I could do. I'm here for his Mom who is my niece, we've always had a close connection even though she moved away and had a busy life, but we've picked up right where we left off so it's good that I can at least be here to support her in any way she needs supports.

Before I write a book I'll wish you and your family, naturally Gareth as well, a very blessed and Merry Christmas!
